My top 5 best songs ever.

Music is sort a hobby of mine. When possible i will listen to music. And so i though i would let you know what my 5 favorite songs of all time are. Hop you enjoy it!

5. All Time low-  Weightless

All Time Low it self i definitely one of my favorite bands. Thier songs are playfully and i'm reallt into that. They don't take life to serious. And so you hear in this song. 

'Maybe it's not my weekend but it's gonna be my year' 

I hold on to that in life. if i don't succeed in something i'll think next time it'll go oke. Maybe its not my weekend but it's gonna be my year.

4. Green Day- 21 guns

3. Fall Out Boy- Young Volcanoes.

I thing Fall Out Boy is my favorite band. All tough i couldn't describe their music. It's rock but different. Just listen to it and you'll understand.

2. Lower Than Atlantis- Emily

I only recently found this song. This very unknown band released this song on the 5th of october and hit 136.174 views by 23rd of november. I think its so funny he sings about his dog. Just listen to it oke?

1. An Honest Year- Lair a Thief

I'm in love with this band and then especially this song. This song is stuck in my head like always! Everybody should listen to this song and fall in love with it!

My life in 20 questions tag.

When i was thinking about blog idea's and though I've never done a tag post. I then searched for multiple tags. And stumbled upon the My life in 20 questions tag. So get to know me a bit better and enjoy.


What's you favorite colour?
My favorite colour is different like every day maybe even second. But right now i would say orange. It's such a happy colour. I don't think i own any piece of clothing with that colour though. I do love lipsticks in orange.


What is your favorite number?
I don't think i have one. I personally don't believe i lucky things so i don't do any rituals before a important test or wear my luck socks. The same with numbers what's so special about number 10? And i what is it different to 12 or 3?


What's your dream job?
I have two. Ether doing this for living. Or having my own bakery. lately i had to thing about what i want i live a lot. like for how long do i want to study? if in wanted to could stop next year and go work. Or i could go to school for a bit more. And then? Where do i want to work? or will i start my own bakery?


Where would you like to live?
My all time dream city is London. So yeah London. But then i would not like to leave holland. So it's either gonna be London or where i live now.


What's your favorite way of traveling?
I can say that by train and bus is definitely not my favorite. I go by those every day to school and i hate it. I like cycling. That sounds so dutch but it's true basicly just for the view.


What do you do in your spare time?
In the little spare time i've got i do this. Writing. I have this blog and i write stories. I also like to hang out with my best friend and watch series or youtube.


Which shops do you like?
For clothing i like The sting and New Look a lot. For make-up Yves Rocher i a good one.


Who would you like to see in concert?
Well in summer i'm going to Taylor Swift! And I'm very excited. If ever All Time Low comes to Holland i would like to go there. I'm really into their music.


What's your favorite tea?
Coffee. I don't drink tea. i'm a coffee girl.


Do you collect something?
unless you count make-up i don't


You can't sleep without?
My bed has to be very comfy so maybe a comfy bed but other then that i wouldn't know.


What would you do with 1 million?
I would buy myself a good house and maybe try to invest in this blog. I would give some to a charity but other than that just live a carefree live.


What's you favorite make-up brand?
I don't really have one. The one has a great foundation the other a fantastic bronzer whilst an other is great with mascara.


What's your favorite season?
Summer! Without doubt. I love warm weather.


Do you sleep with you door open or closed.
Mainly closed. That's because i can't sleep with noise.


What's your favorite thing to eat?
I like everything sweet. And so my answer is chocolate.


What did you do yesterday night at 12 pm.
I was watching Teen wolf on my laptop.


What's you favorite perfume?

One by Calvin Klein.

My autumn/ winter clothes.

Even though it pains me that it is getting colder i'll make the best out of winter. by decorating my room, drinking hot chocolate and also with buying new clothes. The fact that i'm writing this in a comfy onesie with amazing scented candles next to me makes me  think i'll survive the cold and maybe enjoy winter this year. But that's not what i wanted to talk about today. Here are my favorite pieces of  my autumn/ winter clothes for this year.

I am a lover of jumpers. I live in these three jumpers. From right to left is the first jumper the most comfortable. This jumper is o so warm and soft. The colour is a lovely baby pink. I bought it from C&A last year.

Then the middle one. This jumper is from New Look. It's a three quarter length and that means in Holland you've got to wear something underneath it. I meanly wear a pink blouse  with collar where i'll voled the collar over the jumper. But really you can wear a lot underneath it.

The last one is my most recent bought. It's from Bershka. It isn't as soft as the C&A one but it is about as warm. I really liked the flower print on it. I think this is my favorite out of the three.

. 

Let's start with the colbert. I've worn this A LOT more then that exactly. You can wear this on top a lot of t-shirts or other stuff. My favorite to put underneath this is the vest. 

This vest is from the same brend. It has a picture of a girl playing the guitar printed on. And this is i think my favorite of all my clothes this winter. 

then on to the trousers. I don't really know what to say about it. It's a skinny jean and it's light blue. i wouldn't want to go to dark with this outfit. As in the colbert and vest are already darker. 

This is a very simple outfit. The t-shirt is from The Sting. If you know me you should know that i'm an London or British addict. So when i saw this t-shirt i intently bought it. I wear the colbert from the previous outfit on top of it and it looks pretty damn good.

The trousers are the oldest piece of clothing i own. They're from H&M and costed me back then like 20 euro's.The kind of greeny bluey colour makes a perfect match with the t-shirt.

Then the last outfit is on the more rock side. I've ripped those jeans myself. The jeans were getting quite old and when there was a rip a though i'll cut it. And it turned out to be great.The jeans are one of the most tight things i'll ever wear.

The blouse is see-through so i'll just wear a black vest underneath. With dark red Converse and a leather jacked is this outfit complete.

Rock bands you should know about.

i got recently into rock music and so i discovered some quite small bands. With these three i fall in love. And i'm in no way an expert in music let alone rock music but these are band i'll advise you to listen to.

If your dutch you probably know them as they're dutch and quite famous here but outside of holland and belgium not much people know about them. And that's a shame. Their music is described as 'indie rock'. My favorite song from them is: Home Again.

"Jack Kerouac once said, "truth is music." For up-and-coming pop-rock band, An Honest Year, these words say it all." Is what's said on their website. This pop/rock band from Philadelphia, US got me addicted to their single 'You and your friends'. I found out about this band though a cover they did on 5SOS's She looks so perfect. Which is an amazing cover. So please check them out.

I only found out about them last week on youtube. They've released a single called Emily and as that's my name is was curious and click on the video. I really enjoyed that and looked for other songs i then found my absolute favorite. Here we go:

What's in my make-up bag.

This maid be one of the most cliche posted ever but i think it's still pretty interesting if you're in to make-up. And i enjoy reading or watching on youtube. So i thought you'd like it too.

The first thing is my Rimmel London Match perfection. I've talked about it before so i'm not going to talk about this for to long. Read here: My Favorite Beauty products. This foundation is great cause it's an absolute perfect match.  I've run out of it and bought the  Wake Me Up from the same brand.








Next up is the Rimmel London Exaggerate Eye Liner. I use this most days i wear make-up. I love this eye liner because it stays the whole day what seems to be a problem with others. it leaves a really precised line.






Then The Falsies Feather-look from Maybelline. I only recently bought this and already i love it. It's very soft for your lashes but leaves you with an amazing result and really opens up our eyes.







The HEMA blush brush. I've rambled about this blush in a previous post: My HEMA brush collection.





Catrice Multicolor blush is also found in my make-up bag. I love this blush cause it's so unbelievable natural on my skin. And it doesn't scream. I see a lot of people with way to bright and screaming blusher and no that's not beautiful.









Then my concoular it's the superstay 24 from maybelline and no it doesn't stay 24 hours. I'm not really happy with this concoular. It's very powdery and it's just makes the area underneath my eyes very wrinkled. And i know i just turned 18 so i'm an adult  but i am not old. I am not supposed to have wrinkles.  But other than that if i've added my foundation over it's fine. Just searching for a different one.




Then my eyebrow kid from Catrice. i've also rumbled about this product in a previous post: My Favorite beauty products. 
I'm sad cause i've almost run out it. i doubt if i'm gonna buy a new one. it's is/was amazing but i want to try new things. I don't know yet.






You know these day when you just have no color on face? On one of those days i wear i cooperation with my blusher this highlighter. It's the L'Oreal Lumi Magique and i love it a lot. It really natural and that's what you want right? It's buildable and very blendable.









And then last a small mirror which i have sinds i can remember my mom told me i got it from my nan. It has a 'normal' mirror on one side and a magnifying mirror on the other. Which is very handy for make-up.

My HEMA brushes Collection

Hema is a Dutch company which i love a lot. I especially love their make-up brushes. Most of my brushes are from Hema.  And not much people know how good they are. Plus they're really cheap so i thought i'll do a blogpost.

I'll start with my absolute favorite the Smokey eyes 259. I use this one for my eyebrows. Its angled  witch makes you apply the powder really easy and exact for the best result. Its has two sides but i only really use the angled one for my brows. The other side you could use for eye shadow or even your counselor or a liquid highlighter. It's only 3,10 euros which will be 2.42 British pounds and 3.93 US Dollars.

The Foundation Brush was the first one i ever bought and i am still loving it. Some people might prefer a bigger brush for their foundation but i've got a tiny face so i feel like drowning in big brushes. This brush is (if you clean it enough) super soft and leaves my foundation super matte and that's what i want from a brush.
This brush costs again 3,10 Euros, 2,42 British Pounds and 3.93 US Dollars.

This is the Blusher Brush Contour is one is my least favorite i have to say. HEMA has multiple sort of collections in brushes. The white ones they have pink ones and also black ones. The white collection is my favorite they're the best quality but also the most expensive. I´m searching for a better blush brush but haven't found one jet. But then this brush is good enough and still does its job oké. Most of the brushes are 3,10 so is this one.  2,42 British Pounds and 3,93 US Dollars.

  The Eyeshadow brush and smudge 256 is my most recent buy. I use it for my concealer ( I'm not really using my brushes for what i'm supposed to am i?)  .  Its very fluffy and soft. And leaves your concealer perfectly blended in.
Just like the Smokey eyes brush this one has two ends. On the other end of this one, is a same shaped but smaller brush. This can be used for eyeshadow.  Again this one costs 3,10 euros, 2,42 British Pounds and 3,93 US Dollars.

At last we have the Powder brush. This brush is one of the softest thing that excised (maybe I'm exaggerating). I use this brush for my bronzer. The good thing about this brush is that it doesn't take much powder which will leave a amazing natural look. It's not as big as other powder brushes are and that's  a plus for me with my small face. This one cost 4,- Euros, 3.12 British Pounds and 5.07 US Dollars. (Told you they were cheap).

I keep them in a jam jar which i got in france isn't it cute!

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Everybody loves chocolate right! So who doesn't love chocolate chip cookies? Here is a simple recipe for these cookies.

The ingredients are:

o 160 g flour

o 115 g butter

o 1 egg

o 180 g caster sugar

o Vanilla extract

o 180 g chocolate








First you've got to pre-heat the oven to 200 C.

Mix then the flour, butter and sugar till the dough is crumbly. Then add the egg and Vanilla extract. You will get a very sticky dough. 

Chop the chocolate in pieces and mix the chocolate through your dough. 

let your dough rest for about 24 hours in the fridge.

When its rested enough make little balls with your dough and place them on a baking tray. Push lightly into them. And make sure there is enough space in between them. 

Then put them in the oven for 8 minutes. When you get them out you may think they're not done yet but once you've rested them for about a half a hour you'll realize they're done. And then all thats left to do is enjoy!

Back to school

Today is wanted to talk about going back or going to a new school. I’m going to talk about these two topics. 

First day anxiety.

Making friends

First day anxiety.

The first day is always very nerve-racking and I know that anxiety isn’t going to go away easy. The thing that you need to remember is that everyone is new and going to the exact the same thing.  And there are going to be people who you’re not going to like but don’t bother them. Try to make friends and go sit next to some-one you think you could become friends with. Don’t go sit next to the most popular, most beautiful girl or guy cause you want to be popular. Cause trust me it’s not going to work. You will be more popular if you’re just yourself. That’s is a life rule really. Fashion-wise you should wear something outstanding. Don’t overdo it but wear something that isn’t something that everyone wears. But do stay with what you like.

Making friends.

Making friends is hard and I know this as one of the  best. The best tip I can give you is to stay yourself. You don’t want to put up an act for the years you’ll be with these people. And if you not honest don’t expect others to be. But try to find some-one with the same interest cause you’ll have something to talk about. Maybe join a club. And if you don’t like anyone who’s in your class don’t worry you still have your friends at home. And don’t be mean. People will like a honest kind and caring person more then a mean person.

So overall stay yourself. Leave the mask home.

My Room

I thought i would show you my room as i redecorated it a few weeks ago. My room is tiny but so is everything in Holland.

lets start with my cloting and make-up closet.
I Have the basic thing like the make-up i use most and some brushes. make-up removers and perfume. Not really special.



In the taller closet i have my clothes. And the big mirror is really handy as you can see your whole outfit. i think i cant live without anymore.


throughout my whole room i have those reed hearts hanging around. i think it looks amazing with something that simple.



Then on to my desk. I've kept it quite simple in this area. The first thing you notice is my pink mirror. I've had this mirror for a fear few years. At one point i was sick of it and hid it. but now it gives my room a bit colour.

then next to my desk i've a cabinet with in the drawsers some school stuff and my stereo. But the magic happens on top of it. Where i've gone for some bit and bobs what i change throughout the seasons.

Most of the things i have 'stolen' from my mom. (With permission) but the jar in the front i kind of made that myself. Well i have glued a picture and flower to it.

And thats it. those are my most interesting bits of my room. I hope you found it interesting or gave you inspiration for your own.

My Holiday in Barbatrê France

Two weeks ago i went to Barbatrê in France. This is in the region Vendee. It was a quiet little village with a really nice beach. On this beach I’ve spent most of my  time. Just chilling around not doing much maybe a bit writing or reading but that will be it. O and i buried my dog. Don’t worry he enjoyed it and could go out of it if he wanted to.

Me, my dad and my mum went on a bike-trip through small villages as L’epine and La Guériniére. Those were lovely and we stopped at multiple cosy little restaurants to drink or eat something. We saw those mills. There were four of them none still worked but they looked lovely. Now I hear you say ‘your Dutch why would you go all the way to France to see mills?” well I have to say they look so different from Dutch mills. In Holland they are much bigger and less beautiful.

On other days we went to this restaurant where I forgot the name of but It was lovely. It  was in the kind of centrum of Barbatrê and if you love mussels it’s haven for you. I don’t like mussels so I went for the burger witch was amazing. My brother didn’t really like his choice when they came with an massive sausage. Later we found out that it was hog. So he regretted that.

Every night we went to the beach for a walk. The view was amazing. We were really lucky with the weather we heart that the week after we left it was not that nice weather. We’ve had one and a half day of rain this was our first and last day so that didn’t really matter.

Over all I enjoyed this holiday.
